Western alumnus urges support for Occupy Seattle

Western alumnus (2010) Jeff Krajewski, who has been at Occupy Seattle for the past week, grabbed a bullhorn during today’s Occupy Bellingham protests downtown and encouraged people to join the Seattle effort.

“Occupy Seattle could use our help,” he said. “We can support them.”

Some people in the crowd said they needed campers or some other practical means of getting to Seattle. Responses from the crowd have been positive; people cheer every time someone says something.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn suggested Seattle protestors set up outside city hall, but they declined and remain in Westlake Park, reports Seattle news outlet PubliCola.

Protesters still downtown for Occupy Bellingham have been chanting, “Whose streets? Our streets!”
