Teammate Dylan Goodwin is in second. – Goodwin was named GNAC golfer of the week for April 10-16. – The Western baseball team swept Eastern Washington University in three games over the weekend. Pitcher Matt Burrows threw double digit strikeouts and gave up just two hits in seven innings in the team’s 5-1 victory on Sunday. – If you haven’t yet, read Joe Sunnen’s column on Western softball pitcher Erika Quint. – In case you didn’t catch what the softball team did this weekend against Simon Fraser, it got one lopsided win and one lopsided loss. – As I reported earlier, Western’s Sarah Porter of the track and field team was named GNAC co-Female athlete of the week for her performance at the Mt. SAC Relays last week. The other was Bobbie Lee of the Montana State Billings softball team. |
