11-17 Too much youth for men’s basketball?

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

Western men’s basketball kicked off their season with a commanding 115-84 win against Willamette.

The team has looked good so far and proved they have the talent, but I was noticing that there may be a problem with the youth of the team.

Only one senior, forward Mike Duty, is on the team and the rest have a limited amount of collegiate basketball experience.

Do you think this will affect the outcome of the season for the Vikings? Does knowing this fact make you more excited for next season rather than the season we are currently in?

Comment below on what you think.

(10/14) WWU Men’s Golf finishes Fall on top

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Men’s golf finished the fall portion of the season down at Chico St. Tuesday.
The team stood up to all of the hype they have been stirring up and finished the season with three first place finishes and one second place.
The team referred to themselves as the bomb squad and they did what their name suggested, dropped low scores at every tournament.
I am on the WWU Men’s golf band wagon and think they have a legitimate chance at doing very well in the national tournament.
They had 7 players who made appearance in the four fall tournaments, all capable of producing low rounds and playing well.
